Preparation
This assessment requires you to prepare an 8–10 minute audio training tutorial (with optional video) for new nurses on the importance of nursing-sensitive quality indicators. To successfully prepare for your assessment, you will need to complete the following preparatory activities:
Select a single nursing-sensitive quality indicator that you see as important to a selected type of health care system.
Conduct independent research on the most current information about the selected nursing-sensitive quality indicator.
Interview a professional colleague or contact who is familiar with quality monitoring and how technology can help to collect and report quality indicator data.
You do not need to submit the transcript of your conversation, but do integrate what you learned from the interview into the audio tutorial. Consider these questions for your interview:
What is your experience with collecting data and entering it into a database?
What challenges have you experienced?
How does your organization share with the nursing staff and other members of the health care system the quality improvement monitoring results?
What role do bedside nurses and other frontline staff have in entering the data? For example, do staff members enter the information into an electronic medical record for extraction? Or do they enter it into another system? How effective is this process?
Watch the Informatics and Nursing-Sensitive Quality Indicators Video Examplar.
Recording Your Presentation
To prepare to record the audio for your presentation, complete the following:
Set up and test your microphone or headset using the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. You only need to use the headset if your audio is not clear and high quality when captured by the microphone.
Practice using the equipment to ensure the audio quality is sufficient.
Review the for Kaltura to record your presentation.
View Creating a Presentation: A Guide to Writing and Speaking. This video addresses the primary areas involved in creating effective audiovisual presentations. You can return to this resource throughout the process of creating your presentation to view the tutorial appropriate for you at each stage.
Notes:
You may use other tools to record your tutorial. You will, however, need to consult Using Kaltura for instructions on how to upload your audio-recorded tutorial
into the courseroom, or you must provide a working link your instructor can easily access.
You may also choose to create a video of your tutorial, but this is not required.
If you require the use of assistive technology or alternative communication methods to participate in this activity, please contact
DisabilityServices@Capella.edu to request accommodations.
Instructions
For this assessment, imagine you are a member of a Quality Improvement Council at any type of health care system, whether acute, ambulatory, home health, managed care, et cetera. Your Council has identified that newly hired nurses would benefit from comprehensive training on the importance of nursingsensitive quality indicators. The Council would like the training to address how this information is collected and disseminated across the organization. It would also like the training to describe the role nurses have in accurate reporting and high-quality results.
The Council indicates a recording is preferable to a written fact sheet due to the popularity of audio blogs. In this way, new hires can listen to the tutorial on their own time using their phone or other device.
As a result of this need, you offer to create an audio tutorial orienting new hires to these topics. You know that you will need a script to guide your audio recording You also plan to incorporate into your script the insights you learned from conducting an interview with an authority on quality monitoring and the

Peplau’s theory of establishing a therapeutic relationship

To begin this assignment you will first select a theory. The theory can be either borrowed or from the discipline of nursing. After you select the theory, you will address each of the items below in a written scholarly paper. The items reflect the processes involved in forming a complete description of a theory as discussed in Chapter 8 of Chinn and Kramer.

1. Begin this assignment with an introduction. The introduction should include a discussion that provides:
• A brief succinct overview of the professional experience and future actions discussed in the Ways of Knowing assignment.
• A statement that explains the purpose of the assignment (e.g., The purpose of this assignment is to……).
2. After your introduction, discuss the following content using appropriate APA level headings:
• Description of the Theory – Provide the name of the theory. Identify if the theory is borrowed, or if from the discipline of nursing. Then, identify the author of the theory, and the date the theory was established. Utilize primary rather than secondary resources.

In your summary clearly identify how the purpose of this theory is linked to the future actions you identified in the Ways of Knowing assignment.
• Concepts of the Theory – Provide a descriptive summary of the concepts (words or groups of words that represent objects, properties, and / or events) within the theory. In your summary clearly identify how the concepts are linked to the future actions you identified in the Ways of Knowing assignment.
• Definitions in the Theory – Provide a clear definition for each concept that was identified. The definitions should be presented in conceptual terms within the context of the theory.
• Relationships in the Theory – Provide a descriptive summary of the linkages among and between the concepts associated with the theory.
• Structure of the Theory – Provide a clear description of the structure of the theory (choose from one of the examples on pg 195 of Chinn and Kramer). In your description clearly identify how you arrived at your conclusion.
• Assumptions in the Theory – Provide a clear description of the assumptions associated with the theory. In your description clearly identify if the assumptions are factual assumptions or value assumptions. Also in your description clearly speak to how the exposure to differing assumptions may open new perceptions with regards to going “outside of the box” of common practice and procedures.
• Application to Professional Practice – Provide a descriptive summary your critical analysis findings. In your summary thoroughly discuss the application of the theory in terms of providing guidance for the future actions identified in the Ways of Knowing assignment.
3. End your paper with a conclusion. The conclusion should present a brief summary of the key takeaway points of the paper. The conclusion should not present any new information.

Formative Evaluation Determining Intervention Needs and Approaches Marketing Plan

Formative Evaluation Determining Intervention Needs and Approaches Marketing Plan
What criteria or needs determine the type of health program or initiative that will be implemented? How might health care administrators identify the needs of their target audience or community when planning health programs or initiatives?

Formative evaluation processes aid health care administrators in determining the needs of a target audience or community. The identification of these needs, in turn, helps to outline the type of health program or initiative that is to be developed. Once the needs and type of health program or initiative are identified, health care administrators can then determine how best to install this type of health care service and to determine measures that might be used to gauge the success or effectiveness of the service, once installed. Engaging in formative evaluation is a critical tool for the health care administrator and is a process that you will most likely encounter in practice.

For this Assignment, review formative evaluation processes in the resources for this week. Then, consider how formative evaluation might be used to develop your marketing plan. Reflect on how you might include formative evaluation methods in the design of your health care services marketing plan and consider why this might be important for the practice of health care administration.

Note: The completion of this Assignment will consist of the elements necessary for Component 6 of your Final Project.

The Assignment (5–7 pages)

Describe two examples of formative evaluation for health programs that you might use in your marketing plan.
Describe how you will include formative evaluation methods in designing your health care services marketing plan and explain why

More details;

Based on victim surveys, about 16 percent of women and 5 percent of men in the United States reported having been stalked at some point in their lives.

The legal definition varies, but stalking is usually defined as “repeated unwanted behaviors that reasonably cause the individual who is being stalked to experience fear of harm or death to self, family, or household,” but many stalkers are careful enough to avoid breaking laws.

Even though the majority of stalkers are men, an estimated 12 to 22 percent are women, although the motivation often varies according to the intended target.

According to the research of Paul E. Mullen and his colleagues, there are five types of stalkers, although there can be considerable overlap among the different categories.

Firstly, Rejected stalkers who are seeking revenge following a perceived rejection (real or imagined).

Secondly, Intimacy-seeking stalkers who are seeking to form a close relationship with their intended target.

Thirdly, Incompetent stalkers lack basic social skills and often engage in stalking behaviour in the hope of becoming intimate with their target.

Fourthly, Resentful stalkers are revenge-seekers who feel they have been somehow wrong ed by their target. They are often prone to paranoid ideation that is difficult to treat.

Further, Predatory stalkers seek power and control over their targets and are most likely to intimidate their victims. These are the stalkers most likely to be charge d for their offenses.

Pathophysiology of disease case study on a male patient

Pathophysiology of disease case study on a male patient

This is an assignment that focuses on the pathophysiology of disease case study on a male patient. The paper also provides results of his blood serum lipid.

The pathophysiology of disease case study on a male patient

Case Study for Pathophysiology of Disease
A male patient (60 years old) after visiting his local GP was advised to do a full blood analysis as part of management of his hypertension. The patient is hypertensive for at least 15 years and his blood pressure is manageable with a drug combination, a diuretic and a b-blocker, and has been stable at 123-8 / 82-85 mmHg for the last few years. The patient’s height is 176 cm and he weighs 96 kg.
The results came back and most; blood glucose, kidney function, Serum Vitamin B12, Serum ferritin, Urea and Electrolytes, Thyroid function test, Differential white cell count, Erythrocyte sedimentation rate and blood red cell folate were all within the normal range and no action was required in relation to these tests. Plasma C reactive protein was elevated at 5.7 mg/L (0.00 – 5.00 mg/L).

The patient’s Liver function tests showed that Serum globulin, albumin, total protein, total Bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase and AST serum levels were all normal. The only abnormal element of the liver function test was Serum Gama GT level at 59 IU/L (1.0- 55.00 IU/L).

The results of the patient’s blood Serum lipid profile however showed some abnormalities as follows:
1. Serum triglycerides,                                 1.2 mmol/L         (0.5 – 2.00 mmol/L) normal
2. Serum Cholesterol                                    5.9 mmol/L         (1.00 – 5.00 mmol/L) abnormal
3. Serum HDL cholesterol level                  1.2mmol/L          (>1.00 mmol/L) normal
4. Serum LDL cholesterol level                   4.1 mmol/L         (1.00-3.00 mmol/L) abnormal
5. Non HDL cholesterol                                 4.7 mmol/L
6. Serum Cholesterol/HDL ratio                 4.9 (Non-HDL cholesterol is part of Lipid profiles per NICE Lipid Modification Guidelines)

The patient also complained of occasional pain in the calf and thigh muscles upon exercise, but this was relieved by resting post exercise.
Family history reveals that the patient lost members of his family due to aortic aneurysms and strokes.

Assignment: Part 2. Atherosclerosis:

Firstly, the GP had a discussion with the patient and advised him to take up regular exercise, modify diet and consider starting “Statin” treatment to reduce his cholesterol levels.
Secondly, the patient went away and did some research from internet resources and was not convince. Due to the different views on Statin treatment available in the public domain, that this is the right course of treatment.
Thirdly, he asked for your advice. Can you provide the patient with a succinct opinion?

You will need to explain to him:
1. Firstly, the pros and cons of statin treatment.
2. Secondly, the mechanisms of action of statins.
3. Then, why there is such a varied opinion on this treatment.
3. Finally and most importantly, your view on this topic, wold you recommend the patient start or not start on such treatment and you need to summaries the justification for your advice.

Your arguments need to be supportive by evidence from research papers and reviews, not Wikipedia, Google or unofficial web-sites etc….
You do not need to provide the traditional different headings, i.e. abstract, introduction etc but write it as a simple report-900 to 1200 words
