TEXT- Frantz Fanon’s “Concerning Violence” from the book Wretched of the Earth response to the idea of violence as a tool of liberation in Frantz Fanon’s writing.make a claim, which is also a thesis statement.

You can make a claim that argues about the limits and the power of violence as a cleansing force against oppression. Avoid writing paraphrases and summaries of the main text for the sake of it.

You must have a point to prove. A point to prove could be that in his essay “Concerning Violence”, Frantz Fanon argues that violence is the best tool of liberation from colonial rule and state oppression for the masses who are poor/”wretched” and have nothing to lose. Fanon is proposing a political process toward freedom that is violent and says that non-violence only gets security and compromise, not real freedom. If this is the point to be proven then the essay should focus on key ideas from the main text that speaks to this point. Your task is to pick these key ideas wisely, analyze them and reflect upon them. As always, the essay should have 1.
