I‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍n the novel, My Sister’s Keeper (Jodi Picoult), Anna Fitzgerald is facing a moral dilemma. Her sister, Kate, has cancer and is dependent on receiving Anna’s bone marrow and one of her kidneys to stay alive. However, because she has had to undergo one medical procedure after another her entire life, Anna has been forced to make many sacrifices including leading a “normal life”, to keep Kate alive. In a multi-paragraph essay (3 page minimum) choose from one of the three essay topics below to complete this assignment:

Topic 1: Describe the dilemmas Anna faces in making the decision to fight for medical emancipation from her parents. In addition, explain whether Anna is making an ethical or unethical decision as her decision. Use at least three citations from the novel to support your ideas and relate it to Social Policy/ Health and Human Services.
