Multiple regression analysis using business-related data sets

Multiple regression analysis using business-related data sets

This is an assignment that discusses the multiple regression analysis using business-related data sets. Additionally, the data sets can be from any environment in the field of business.

Multiple regression analysis using business-related data sets

Below are questions to which you are to answer during this assignment.

Firstly, Identify a set of business-related data on which you can run multiple regression analysis. Data can be acquired from your business environment. However, if data privacy is a concern, you may anonymize the data, or just use free open data from online sources. Also, make sure you have at least 3 independent variables along with one dependent variables.

Firstly, write few words explaining the data. Describe an objective to run the regression analysis.

Secondly, show scatter plots between the dependent variable and each independent variable. Comment on your findings.

Thirdly, run the regression analysis in Excel, explain and comment on the following: a. R b. R-Square c. Adjusted R-Square d. Standard Error e. T-test for every slope f. Confidence Interval for every slope g. Re‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍sidual Plots h.

Write the final formula to be used for prediction Question 2 – 10 pts

Fourthly, identify a business-related time series with some seasonality patterns. However, data can be acquired from your business environment. If data privacy is a concern, you may anonymize the data, or use free open data from online sources.

1) Plot the time series 2) Show the trend line on the plot along with the formula 3) Use the slope and intercept for predicting the level

Additionally, 4) Calculate the seasonality index and factor it in predicting the values 5) Calculate the error (MSE, MAE, MAPE) 6) Forecast the analyzed values for the next few seasons (depend on the number of seasons in your data) Make sure to provide the excel sheets with calculations. Additionally, all the sources should be in proper citation style.
