Many of you wondered “How will I use this in real life?” The concepts discussed in the readings and classes will contribute to your success to the extent that you can apply them outside of class, as well as you can inside of class. For this reason, this project involves applying OB concepts and theories to real organizational issues to provide better understanding, explanation or solution of the problem. You will select one topic for this term project and submit a written paper. The project requires you to identify, analyze and develop a plan for resolving a key problem that an organization is facing. This should not be a historical problem that has been solved already, but one that a specific organization is currently facing (e.g., high turnover in ABC company). While you may apply more than one topic from the course, please focus on providing depth to your analysis of the problem, more than breadth (i.e. identify a single problem, and apply multiple perspectives to this problem). In conducting the study, I encourage you to do review online business news to gather valid information about the problem the company is facing. This could be interviews with company managers, news about the company, company’s website and other sources. Please also pay attention to how you organize and present your ideas, namely, in a structured, logical, and coherent fashion. Remember to Follow the APA style. Use Times New Roman, 12-point, 1-inch margins. Include a references sections for the work you used. List them alphabetically. Use in-text citations and make sure to use quotation marks for direct quotations.
