The Impacts of Climate Change on Human Health in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA):

a Systematic review Abstract:

This study aims to identify the existing research on the impact of climate change on human health in countries drawn from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. A systematic search using the databases PubMed, Web of science, Science Direct and Medline will be used to identify articles published between 1980 to 2019.

The main health impact will be categorized into primary, secondary and tertiary impacts on health. Goal and Research Question: The goal of this research is to assess the impact of climate change on human health in the MENA regions. The study has the following objectives:

i. To identify the primary, secondary and tertiary effects of the climate change on human health in the MENA region.

ii. To examine trends over time in publishing on this aspect in this region. iii. To identify knowledge gaps and potential barriers that need to be addressed to better understand the health impacts of climate change in the region.
