The Great Gatsby from a different character’s perspective
You are going to write a scene from one of the chapters of The Great Gatsby from a different character’s perspective. You will keep the narrative as close to what happens in the book as possible, but you will put this character’s spin on what happens. Your writing should be consistent with the way the character has been developed thus far. The narrative should be no less than two pages. Here are the things I am looking for in your narrative: 1)An understanding of who your character is and how he or she thinks (provide his or her thoughts in the narration) 2)An understanding of the scene you are rewriting. While you can get creative with the scene, I do not want you to bring in martians or robots to the story. 3)Dialogue 4)Varied sentence structure 5)Detailed description 6)Largely free of grammatical error 7)Two pages or more
