The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) have been making strides to update the CPA licensure and examination process to maintain the rigorous professional licensing standards. AICPA and NASBA are working on a new CPA licensing model that is adaptable to the rapidly changing skills and competencies needed from accountants, especially in the technology area.
