How does Olanzapine and Risperidone affect quality of life of patients with schizophrenia

Two research papers to be critically analyzed and compared (attached in additional materials) with the focus on quality of life (possibly comparing Quality of Life between Brazil and the UK in relation to olanzapine and risperidone treatment- are results transferable to UK?).

Essay guidelines attached in Additional materials (e.g. words counts in each section of the essay, restrictions on the essay content etc.). My Uni will accept only Harvard referencing style for bibliography/referencing. 2000 words limit of the essay, double spacing, 12 font ,Times New Roman, any bias in the research materials, MEDLINE research database used, what boolean words used, any blinding used?. On MEDLINE – To set up the search leading words from the question were transcribed into search terms.

first search was too broad bringing back 511 articles (Appendix..). Variants were constituted on the main words. Instead of only writing ‘olanzapine and risperidone’, ‘schizophrenia and quality of life were incorporated. The complete use of variant words selected are characterized in table 1 below. The involvement of variant words delivered a more successful search, reclaiming 53 articles (Appendix..). Boolean terms were applied, shown in table 1.
