Aims & Objective
The purpose of this assignment is to assess your ability to modify and improve PHP code on an existing PHP/MySQL driven website.

Brief
You are a developer for a web design agency and you have taken on a new client called Jo’s Jobs. Jo runs a small recruitment agency and the company’s website is used to list available jobs. Applicants can view the available jobs and apply for jobs they are interested in. The website was developed several years ago by Jo’s cousin but is now a little outdated and contains bugs that need fixing.
The administration area is available in the /admin/ directory, the password is letmein.

Below is an excerpt from one of Jo’s emails regarding the changes she wants you to make:
1) Firstly, can you change the copyright notice? It’s not 2017 any more!

2) Secondly, i want to add a new page called  “FAQs”. Just add the page with some placeholder text that says “FAQs coming soon” and put a link in the menu.  I’ll send the content over at a later date.

3) Thirdly, i can add a new category in the administration area, but the added categories do not appear on the list on the Jobs page or the navigation bar, can you fix this so the customers can view jobs from all the categories we add?

4)  Sometimes we get requests to re-post old jobs. At the moment, we can delete jobs but it would be useful to be able to archive them so that we can easily repost them later on without having to type in all the information again.

5) The job list page in the admin area currently lists all jobs. Can you:
1. Add the category name for each job as a column in the table
2. Make it so we can filter these jobs by the category they are in. For example, show all HR jobs only.

6) Can you make it so that customers can filter the jobs by location? E.g. see all the jobs in Northampton or all the jobs in Milton Keynes?

7)  I’d like my colleagues to be able to use the website. At the moment we all use the same password. Instead, I’d like to be able to manage user accounts so I can give new staff access (And remove their access when they leave the company). Each member of staff should have their own username and password used to log in to the admin area.

8)  At the moment we do a lot of the work for our clients (The company who we are advertising the job for). They send us the job details and we post it on the site. Then we manually send them details about the applicants who have applied. I’d like it so that:
1. I can set up client user accounts who can then access a restricted version of the admin area
2. Clients should then be able to add jobs and see who has applied for their jobs
3. It is important that clients can only see details about and edit jobs they have posted.

Description
As an HR manager in a large healthcare organization, you have developed a new reward and recognition program designed to help increase employee motivation and job satisfaction in a specific hospital department of your choice. You may choose a clinical or nonclinical department. Based on the course readings and a minimum of four appropriate sources of research, create a 4–6 page executive summary suitable for presentation to senior leadership on employee motivation that includes the following:

Firstly, determine which department is best suited for the reward and recognition program. Secondly, identify a specific goal the employees must work on to be eligible for recognition or to receive the award. Examples include reducing errors, increasing customer/patient satisfaction, or reducing costs. Thirdly, research a specific motivation theory and determine why this method would be the most practical and effective for this program. Examples are the expectancy theory, equity theory, goal-setting theory, Management by Objectives (MBO), or the four-prong model of intrinsic motivation. Fourthly, explain why the selected theory would be the most practical and effective for the rewards and recognition program. Recommend 2–3 types of rewards and/or recognition that would the most effective in motivating the employees to achieve the goals. Create a communication tool for eligible employees announcing the program, rules, and awards. Examples: Email, newsletter, internal Facebook post.

Lastly, ensure  that the paper is at least three pages exclusive of the cover and the reference pages. Also, ensure that you include all the references you use in finding research for this assignment paper. References should be at least three for the paper. All references, citation, and writing should follow the APA formatting and styling guidelines. Finally, ensure you focus on the assignment topic in detail.

With this paper, you are to focus on a country that you know well, or one that you’d like to know well. The only requirement for the country you pick is that it NOT be a country that uses the Euro as its currency or is in the G10 (Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States).

The focus through this pandemic to date has been on the developed nations, many of which have experienced frightening levels of disease, hospitalization and deaths. But the focus is shifting now to the other countries that generally don’t have the financial, economic or even political strength to counter the pandemic’s worst economic and financial effects. Many of these countries have fixed exchange rates, so aside from credit and exchange rate risk premia, their interest rates are now zero. But they generally don’t have their fiscal houses in order, so borrowing to have enough money to prop up their economies or their currency (like the U.S. and Europe are doing) isn’t much of an option. Indeed, many second and third-tier countries are experiencing capital outflows — just when they need inflows.

For the country you have chosen, where is their economy at this point? Then track what the effects have been so far on market prices (sovereign debt and equity) as an indication of might be happening with respect to capital flows. In the same vein, analyze what’s been going on with the country’s currency. And investigate whether any international organizations like the IMF are helping out or at the least making promises.

Now, having done your research, what you write up for this class is a memo, as described below.
Imagine you are the economic attache to the U.S. Ambassador (or Charge d’Affairs of the U.S. Embassy) in this country. The Ambassador has been asked by the host country. Further, she has thus asked you, to advise the country on the best course of action right now with respect to their economic and financial policies. Do research on what’s going on, use the theories you learned back in college. Also, see if you can’t devise the best possible course of action to recommend. Also, Will it be second best? Hey, fourth-best may be the best they can do. They can’t also rearrange the global economy and financial markets. But hopefully you can tell them how best to navigate these unprecedented circumstances.

As with all memos to people in power, keep it short and also pithy. Also, demonstrate a good grasp of the facts, but don’t spend a lot of time telling the Ambassador or the local government what they already know. Finally, be practical.
