This is a paper that is focusing on the student to create a web application to manage the donors similar to CRM. The paper also provides additional information to use in the writing of the assignment paper. Below is the assessment description to follow:

Create a web application to manage the donors similar to CRM

Scenario: You are working as a system analyst for a non-profit organization whose financials are mostly from donations. You are thinking to create a Web application to manage the donors, similar to a CRM (customer relationship management) system. So, let’s call it a DRMS (Donor Relationship Management System).

What to do: Imagine you were hired as a system analyst, based on the SDLC framework and materials you learn from this class, write up a short paper (less than 5 pages, double spacing) for the followings:

1. Describe what you will do for each step in SDLC up to implementation. You will need to relate the steps to the DRMS. For example, who are the users of DRMS and what are its functional requirements? You do not need to actually do the design such as the DFD, UI and ERD. But you should describe what they are and what you expect them to be.

2. SDLC is only a framework. As stated in Chapter 1, you will need a process model to execute it. What exactly is a process model? What process model, e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Spiral, etc. will you adopt and why?

Remember, ensure that the pages are exclusive of the cover and the reference pages. Also, ensure that you include all the references you use in finding research for this assignment paper. References should be at least three for the paper. All references, citation, and writing should follow the APA formatting and styling guidelines. Finally, ensure you focus on the assignment topic in detail.

Ensure that you follow the instructions provided keenly. Marking of the assignment is on how you do the task and how you submit the assignment too. In case of any question feel free to ask your instructor for more guidelines before doing the assignment.

Covid-19 Effects of Poultry Farming; A Behaviour Response

As the world battles the Covid-19 pandemic with health focussed measures such as hand washing, social distancing and personal protection equipment, the developing world has to make an extra consideration; food security.

Zero Hunger by 2030 is the second of the sustainable development goals. In 2016/2017 FAO classified  approximately 27.4% of the population in Africa as severely food insecure. This is almost four times as high as any other region and was before the Covid-19 crisis disrupted food supply chains in both rural and urban localities in Kenya. Even though food has been identified as an essential service to be provided. Local media reports that due to the Covid-19 crisis small and medium scale husbandry. Poultry production farmers have cut their production by more than 50%.

This raises red flags on the ripple effect this will have on supply of meat and eggs during this period. Part of the focus of securing food supply as an essential service is to provide access to nutrient diversity that is paramount in immunity of a population. Poultry meat and eggs are rich and also readily available sources of protein.  With lowered production, limited availability is inevitable which will likely result in prices going up.

The effect of disrupting the agricultural market supply chains was observed in 2014, with the Ebola outbreak where restrictions and market closures disrupted flows of food and necessities. Additionally, shortages of goods led to an increase in prices of key commodities. The nutritional impact was predominantly attributable to reduced food access driven by a reduction in economic activity that reduced families’ purchasing power.

All intersections and connections to the axes on the diagram should be label to make later reference easier.
Important areas on the diagram can be shaded (e.g. excess supply – shortage) If the exact numbers are included in the article and are able to be used, those can be used as labels on the diagram. If not, the commonly used labels P1, P2, Q1, Q2, etc. can be used.

3. Explanation: Fully explain and apply your diagrams to the context of the article. The explanation should be done with the presumption that the reader knows nothing of economics.

The new applications brought the total number of jobless claims since mid-March to 26.4 million.

That amounts to more than 15% of the US workforce.

However, the most recent data marked the third week that the number of new claims has declined, raising hopes that the worst of the shock may be over.

“While this week’s 4.4 million jobless claims are staggering, there are signs that the pace of layoffs has reached its peak,” said Richard Flynn, UK managing director at financial service firm Charles Schwab.

Realism, Liberalism and the Possibilities of Peace

Realism is most often depicted as a tradition or perspective on international relations explaining war and military conflict. This is not without reason as realists have focused on war as a major. Or even the primary mechanism of change in international relations. Thucydides, in The History of the Peloponnesian War, written in the fifth century BC, and a standard reference in textbook accounts of the realist tradition, found that ‘[t]he growth of the power of Athens, and the alarm which this inspired in Lacedaemon, made war inevitable’ (Thucydides 431 BC, 1.23). This position is an echo in realism up until today.

This does not mean that realists are unconcerned with peace. Acting as policy advisors or foreign policy commentators, realists have often been among the most vocal critics of war. Hans Morgenthau and Kenneth Waltz, arguably the two most prominent realists in the latter half of the twentieth century. They were both highly critical of US military intervention in Vietnam.

More recently, ‘almost all realists in the United States:

– except for Henry Kissinger

– opposed the war against Iraq’ in 2003 (Mearsheimer 2005),

– realists have been highly critical of the US military interventions during the Obama administration from 2009 to 2017 (Walt 2016).

However, despite this concern with peace, war remains the primary mechanism for change in realist theory, and realists have been surprisingly reluctant to explore the potential for peaceful change.
