Piezo electric sensor would be one of the options, while a traditional load cell would be another option. Even though we are open to purchase a turnkey solution for the load cell, we would like to have a good understanding how such a load cell works, and what limitations it would have from the signal duration point of view. We also would like to install the Piezo electric sensor. It likely will require a charge amplifier. We do have several oscilloscopes in our lab and can provide you with one which would fit the best to work with the amplifier which you design/identify.
