Communication in Project Management

This paper focuses on Communication in Project Management. If you were faced with this situation, how might you frame the discussion in terms that matter to your manager?

Communication in Project Management

If you were faced with this situation, how might you frame the discussion in terms that matter to your manager?  In other words, what do you think matters most to your manager and how can we use that to help convince them of the need for implementing change management?  Remember that everything we do costs time and money.  For example, meetings that we have with our team to review, implement, and monitor changes are taking AWAY from the primary goal of the project.  So why should we spend time and money on this?
More details;

A project team is generally quite a diverse group of people. Project teams are usually thrust together to deliver a bespoke and unique benefit to an organisation, something new and different to the day to day activities undertaken. This diversity provides a further communication challenge for the project manager.

Project leadership calls for clear communication about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations and feedback.

Successful project management communication is about being there for everyone, being in touch with the real challenges of the project, understanding the real issues within the team who must deliver the project as well as understanding the issues of the sponsors who the team delivers the project for. Being present, visible and engaged with everyone is important – during the good times and the challenging times.

Communication is not only about speaking to and hearing from people, it’s about understanding the complete message.

What language to use, how to convey the message with respect to tone, feeling and body language all play an important role in the communication process.  If these are use d incorrectly, the result is often a confused message and misunderstanding of the real issues.

What are the reasons for Oedipus’s downfall

What are the reasons for Oedipus’s downfall?

Write a paper 2 – 3 pages on Oedipus.

1. What are the reasons for Oedipus’s downfall?

2. Can you run from your fate and how does this play relate to today’s society?

3. How did the acting style, costumes and masks affect your perception of the show?

More information;

The cause of Oedipus’ downfall is his hamartia or mistake, which was caused by his pride and impulsiveness, his hubris. When the play opens a plague is afflicting Thebes. Creon, the queen’s brother, tells Oedipus that Apollo has commanded to take revenge upon whoever killed Laius and that will put an end to the plague.
What might Oedipus tragic flaw be and how specifically does it lead to his downfall?
In Oedipus Rex, Oedipus’s tragic flaw is his hubris, which leads to his downfall by influencing him to deny the will of the gods and attempt to alter his destiny by fleeing Corinth.
Does the downfall of Oedipus result from a tragic flaw?
According to Aristotle, the protagonist in a tragedy must have a tragic flaw that ultimately becomes the cause of his ruin. Oedipus in Oedipus the King by Sophocles tragic flaw that caused his downfall was his pride. … Oedipus shows himself as being very pridefull when he leaves his adopted parents in Corinth.
How do Oedipus’s anger and pride cause his downfall in Oedipus Rex?
Pride, or hubris, causes the downfall of Oedipus in Oedipus the King. While anger is also a contributing factor, Oedipus’s anger stems from his pride, as is demonstrated when Oedipus grows angry and kills Laius because Laius offended him.

Scenario analysis on conflict in a professional practice.

Here the scenario of the conflict:
In my career as a nurse, I have been faced with so many discordant situations, mainly by shift woes. I’m not a night nurse for sure, but, sometimes I would pick up a shift from time to time just to adjust the budget as we all do. One might believe that the night shift is better compared to the day shift? Complete dissatisfaction!

The shift woes, usually occur mostly when the outgoing nurse is giving a report to the incoming nurse, it’s an absolute disaster to witness how one co-worker conducts and leaves the tasks in a disorganized manner, regularly leaving the place in a confusing and chaotic state. In contrast, the day shift colleague may be upset and think that her daytime duties are more demanding than the night shift, but at the end of the day, the night shift does come with its drawbacks. As we continue blaming one another, it may cause disagreements, conflicts, and psychological torture

Importance of the Annual Strategic Plan Update

This week you read about the importance of the Annual Strategic Plan Update. This weeks assignment will give you the opportunity to do some research, and create a update for a retreat that you will be planning.

Importance of the Annual Strategic Plan Update

Firstly, please read the directions carefully and follow them.

Secondly, please use APA format correctly.

This week you read about the importance of the Annual Strategic Plan Update. This weeks assignment will give you the opportunity to do some research, and create a update for a retreat that you will be planning.

Further, you should develop a plan to discuss where the retreat will happen. Who will be invite d. What process method you will use. What are the reasons/benefits of each of these that you chose.

The next part is to actually provide an annual update. For this assignment, please research Johns Hopkins Medicine Strategic Plan. You will see that it is broken out into several Strategic Priorities. Read through them, and also research some of the major health care changes that will impact their plan.

As an example, if one of their strategic priority is “Education”, with a goal of creating a portal for its constituencies to access health information, and you are aware that health care reform is focused on wellness, and also incentivizing providers to keep patients healthy, your annual update may be to have a goal of creating a comprehensive portal by the end of the year that includes specific information for a patient related to their illness, or wellness information for those patients with no active disease state.  You can be creative with your goal, but make sure that it is relevant to part of their strategic plan, and the external health care forces acting on it.

Identify the institution you will analyze in your research paper

The goal of this paper is to identify the institution you will analyze in your research paper and give an overview of what you know about this institution’s background and the challenges it faces.

Identify the institution you will analyze in your research paper

Journalism/ new media
The goal of this paper is to identify the institution you will analyze in your research paper and give an overview of what you know about this institution’s background and the challenges it faces. This is an informal piece of writing. Do some reading, on the internet or in the American Institutions folder on our Blackboard site, gather your thoughts about what you have read and how you might approach it in a research paper, organize and write down those thoughts? Even though this is informal, you may be looking at and using sources you will want to include in your final paper.

Include rough citations (such as the name of the article in parentheses) for specific ideas and information that you use, and include a list of your sources. For this piece, it doesn’t need to be in a specific style, as long as you can relocate the article and connect it to its place in your work.

The details in the paragraph below is something I want to try and have in the paper.

I decided that I will be writing my research paper on the American institution of journalism/media. To begin the paper, I plan to talk about a little bit of how journalism and media plays a role in how the American people get their information weather that be from a newspaper or from the news. In today’s day and age everyone gets their information from either their local news station or from their most liked social media platform like Facebook or twitter.

But the news they receive is not trusted sometimes. I intend to talk about how getting news from creditable sources is very valuable.  Will try to implement the background of journalism and media how they use ethos, pathos, and logos in everything that is spoken about. I will also try to speak about how the categories in journalism and keys of social media.

I will also try and compare different media types and how a post from Facebook can be very different from a post from twitter for example. By receiving different types of new can either play a positive effect or negative effect on how the reader receives the message.

I will then try to talk about how the government and politics adds stress on the media and journalist. For example, in the presidential election we see plenty of advertisements that twist the words of the other candidate to try and persuade the people. That is just one of the many ways that the government and politics can have a role in the media.
