Freeman-Brown Private School consultants hiring assignment

The board of directors at Freeman-Brown Private School (FBPS) has hired you as part of a consulting team to review the situation and present your findings and recommendations. Complete this assignment from the perspective of the hired consultants. Respond to the following questions:

Firstly, review how organizations interact with their external environment (as open systems and complex adaptive systems). How effective was Freeman-Brown as an open system at the time of the closure? How effective was Freeman-Brown as a complex adaptive system at the time of the closure?
Secondly, review your reading this week on the internal environment of organizations. What is your evaluation of the organizational culture and organizational climate at the time the decision to close two campuses was made?
Thirdly, what is your evaluation of the decision made by Dr. Murphy and Caudill? What is your evaluation of the process of going about closure?
Fourthly, was FBPS demonstrating social responsibility? Discuss the closure impact on three specific stakeholders.

Also, provide an explanation, using appropriate management theories, for how the administration could have handled the closure effectively with stakeholders? Include one theory from each of the following: the classical approach, the human relations approach, and the modern management approach.
You are to suggest two goals: one long-term and one short-term goal for the future direction of FBPS. Justify your decision.
Lastly, present a concluding statement that integrates the 4 functions of management as a means to revamp management at FBPS and meets the recommended goals.

Ensure that you follow the instructions provided keenly. Marking of the assignment is on how you do the task and how you submit the assignment too. In case of any question feel free to ask your instructor for more guidelines before doing the assignment.

To what extent has government corruption in Nigeria impeded efforts to effectively deal with Boko Haram?

This paper is on : To what extent has government corruption in Nigeria impeded efforts to effectively deal with Boko Haram?

To what extent has government corruption in Nigeria impeded efforts to effectively deal with Boko Haram

To what extent has government corruption in Nigeria impeded efforts to effectively deal with Boko Haram?

More details;

In 2019, the conflict in northeastern Nigeria entered its eleventh year. Since 2009, the Boko Haram insurgency and the government’s military response have killed tens of thousands of civilians and displaced millions across the Lake Chad region, which straddles Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria. Although major military campaigns in 2015–2016 succeeded in degrading the group’s territorial control, Boko Haram has proven remarkably adaptable in its tactics: the end of 2018 once again saw an uptick in attacks in Nigeria’s Borno State. As Muhammadu Buhari assumes his second term as president, the conflict in the northeast appears far from resolved.

Since the early years of the crisis, Nigeria’s international partners have cautioned that Boko Haram is unlikely to be defeated on the battlefield alone. They have stressed the need for a multidimensional response that tackles the drivers of insecurity in the region, including chronic weaknesses in service delivery, corrupt governance, and environmental degradation.

However, the perception of limited leverage over Nigerian counterparts, restricted access to the country’s northeast, and a response to the crisis shaped by the U.S.-led Global War on Terror limited donors’ focus on these governance dimensions on the ground. In practice, international assistance came late and donors struggled to identify viable national counterparts for stabilization programs. As a result, their efforts centered on supporting regional military efforts and responding to the large-scale humanitarian crisis.

Since early 2017, military gains and improved security in parts of northeastern Nigeria have spurred a greater focus on conflict stabilization measures.

How well your paper flows and proper structure (e.g. that they transition between paragraphs and move toward a clear conclusion that coincides with the opening paragraph)
Proofreading (spelling, typos, grammar)
That the paper is thoughtful (not just stating and defining terms)
Paper 1 prompt:
Address the following:

Choose a class of drugs (stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, etc.) and give an overall description and background of what they are, where/when they started, and what they’re used for (about 1 page)?
Discuss the most common drugs in this class (about 1 page)?
What issues do these drugs pose for society and individuals today? How do we combat this through Psychology? Are there any benefits or uses for treatment? (about 1-2 pages)?

Lastly, take a personal stance on one of the following topics and argue either the pro or con side:
War on Drugs
Percentages of people incarcerated due to drugs
Legalization of drugs

Choose two mammals from different species to compare.

Please stay away from humans and primates, as we have already discussed these in detail.

Firstly, summarize differences that you see in the organization of the brains.

Secondly, note how the differences in brain organization relate to what you know about the behavior of this species. Additionally, is there evidence of increased complexity related to intelligence in this case?

More details;

ORGANIC COMPOUNDS ESSENTIAL TO HUMAN FUNCTIONING

Learning Objectives

By the end of this section, you will be able to:

Firstly, identify four types of organic molecules essential to human functioning

Secondly, explain the chemistry behind carbon’s affinity for covalently bonding in organic compounds

Thirdly, provide examples of three types of carbohydrates, and identify the primary functions of carbohydrates in the body

Fourthly, discuss four types of lipids important in human functioning

Further, describe the structure of proteins, and discuss their importance to human functioning

Additionally, identify the building blocks of nucleic acids, and the roles of DNA, RNA, and ATP in human functioning

Organic compounds typically consist of groups of carbon atoms covalently bonded to hydrogen, usually oxygen, and often other elements as well. Created by living things, they are found throughout the world, in soils and seas, commercial products, and every cell of the human body. The four types most important to human structure and function are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleotides. Before exploring these compounds, you need to first understand the chemistry of carbon.

THE CHEMISTRY OF CARBON

What makes organic compounds ubiquitous is the chemistry of their carbon core. Recall that carbon atoms have four electrons in their valence shell, and that the octet rule dictates that atoms tend to react in such a way as to complete their valence shell with eight electrons. Carbon atoms do not complete their valence shells by donating or accepting four electrons. Instead, they readily share electrons via covalent bonds. Commonly, carbon atoms share with other carbon atoms, often forming a long carbon chain referred to as a carbon skeleton.

International Comparative Education

To understand the uniqueness and significance of education as practiced in the United States, it is important to realize that not every country in the world has a similar system. For this discussion, your task is to research the educational practices of one country and present your findings in a POWERPOINT to be reviewed.

Your presentation should include the following:

1. How the educational system is leveled

2. Whether it is public or private

3. Whether it is mandatory

4. Who has access (socioeconomic, religious, ethnic influences?)

5. The education of students with disabilities

6. Whether it is nationwide or varies by locale

7. Connection between education and career choice (flexibility or lack of flexibility regarding choice).

Any country may be studied, but please consider exploring nations in the Caribbean, South America, Africa, and the Middle East as many of you will have the opportunity to teach students who have immigrated from these parts of the world.

APA formatting for references

It is imperative that you use the following rubric. Double check that your PowerPoint presentation has all the necessary items and covers all numbers stated above.

Firstly, research must include 5 or more systemic components with integrated references to student/societal impact

Secondly, slides should be engaging. A variety of visuals which illustrate or enhance meaning of text should be used

Thirdly, there should be 10 slides with no errors in grammar and spelling.

FINALLY, 3 or more reliable sources must be used (APA sources – APA formatting for references

Discuss how your core values inform or influence your perspective

Content

Describe a “real life” instance of your selected social issue in a professional or a personal setting.
Discuss your perspective on your selected social issue, including the reasons for your viewpoint.
Discuss how your core values inform or influence your perspective on your selected social issue.
Demonstrate that you are really thinking about your issue—don’t settle for easy answers, don’t pretend that conflicting evidence doesn’t exist, and don’t feel that you have to take an either-or position.
Discuss the complexities of your selected social issue. For example, do not just conclude that using academic language is always good, or that government surveillance is always bad, or that wealth automatically leads to health. Think about the intricacies of these issues and how they play out in everyday life.

Organization

Firstly, include an introductory paragraph, where you clearly outline a “real-life” instance of your social issue and you give a thesis statement that indicates your perspective (see Part 2: Writing Your Introduction for an example).
Secondly, include three body paragraphs where you include details, examples, and quotes from at least three of the course readings to help you develop and support your key points (see Part 3: Writing Your Body Paragraphs. for an example).
Thirdly, include one body paragraph where you discuss how your core values inform or influence your perspective on your selected social issue (see Part 3: Writing Your Body Paragraphs. for an example).
End your essay with a concluding paragraph where you restate your thesis, summarize your key points, and leave the reader with the “so what?” ( see Part 4: Writing Your Conclusion for an example).

Grammar and Mechanics

Your paper should be written according to the standards for academic writing, with attention to the following:
punctuation: this includes things such as proper use of commas, colons, and apostrophes.
