Different philosophies of gun control in France

The Short Research Project 1. The Short Research Project is 3 to 5 pages, at least 2 sources, Either MLA or APA format is fine; 2. Papers take one of two forms: either

(1) expository, meaning that you are introducing a topic, ie, “Different philosophies of gun control in France.” or “Rastafarian ethics.” Someone writing about this wouldn’t have to take a clear stand on an issue; the paper could simply be structured according to introducing 3 or 4 principles of Rastafarian ethics and giving examples. The more common form is (2) argumentative, in which you take a stand on a controversial issue (I.e., “why I am for the death penalty.”A good structure for the expository essay is to choose a certain number of key aspects to the issue or discourse you are discussing, and then explore each one in turn in one or two paragraphs each.

A good structure for the argumentative paper would be to list primary arguments for your position, explaining notable counter-arguments as you proceed. 3. A few possible topics, YOU CAN CHOOSE ONE BELOW: From current “hot” issues: The following have received a great deal of coverage and commentary recently: Drone warfare; is it effective, is it ethical? Does it create more terrorists than it kills and/or what legal issues does it raise for the U.S.? Sexual Assault. Traditionally has been defined as sex without consent. A growing number of date rapes in which the victim was unconscious or semi-conscious so it has been suggested that the definition, particularly surrounding teen education, be expanded. What do you think we should teach teenagers about rape, and why? What are current suggestions for revising/adding to our definition of sexual assault, and are these helpful? From Religion/Metaphysics: (1) Research Pacifism within Buddhism or Christianity, branches that are a pacifist to those that are not (ie, Tibetan Buddhists vs. Zen Buddhists, the Mennonites vs. the American Evangelical Church. All of these religions believe that their interpretation of their scripture is the most rational and logically consistent. If you can, take a stand: which tradition do you think had more philosophical integrity? (2) Research populist atheist writers further (such as Richard Dawkins and Samuel Harris) and identify their most important arguments regarding ethics, and either expand on these arguments yourself, noting how they apply to specific religions, or disagree with them. 4. the paper has to use at least 2 Philosophy theory ie, utilitarian, existentialist, Kantian, etc.

Inequality between France and US

inequality between France and US  What you will write about: You will choose one economically advanced country, and compare income inequality in that country to income inequality in the U.S.

You are restricted to economically advanced countries because those are the countries with the most and most reliable data. You should address the following questions. How has the change in income inequality in your chosen country over the last 40 or 50 years compared to the change in the U.S.?

How have the economic and political factors that have affected income inequality in the U.S. been different, or the same, in your chosen country?

What have been the most important differences in these factors? Have factors that have not been important to income inequality in the U.S. affected inequality in your chosen country?

Differences between correlation and Experimental designs

3 page paper describing (2) major differences between experimental research and correlational research. (shows causal associations) This paper is not meant to be complicated exercise of using complex concepts. I am interested in being able to ascertain if you understand what each method is designed to doing social research. The paper is worth 150 points. It must be 3 pages, not including the abstract and 3 references. Note: see attachment. notes 4 pgs. Minimize it to 3pgs + reference pg = 4

Descriptive Statistics Analysis

Descriptive Statistics Analysis  Describe the Sun Coast data using the descriptive statistics tools from the attached Sun Coast synopsis. Establish whether assumptions are met to use parametric statistical procedures. Repeat the tasks below for each tab in the attached Sun Coast research study data set. Utilize the attached template Unit IV Scholarly Activity. You will conduct the data analysis using Microsoft Excel Toolpak. See the links below for more information. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/load-the-analysis-toolpak-in-excel-6a63e598-cd6d-42e3-9317-6b40ba1a66b4 https://www.excel-easy.com/data-analysis/analysis-toolpak.html Here are some of the items you will cover. • Produce a frequency distribution table and histogram. • Generate descriptive statistics table, including measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode), kurtosis, and skewness. • Describe the dependent variable measurement scale as nominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio. • Analyze, evaluate, and discuss the above descriptive statistics in relation to assumptions required for parametric testing. Confirm whether the assumptions are met or are not met. The title and reference pages do not count toward the page requirement for this assignment. This assignment should be no less than five pages in length, follow APA-style formatting and guidelines, and use references and citations as necessary.

E-Poster

Paper details

E-Poster: The students will complete an E-Poster, The purpose of the poster is to serve as a summary and an advertisement of the work that supplements the researcher’s presentation. The poster could be thought of as an illustrated version of the abstract with visual displays of data and small blocks of text that explain the project and support the data. Base on Chapters 7 and 8.

CAPTA-( Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act .)

CAPTA-( Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act .)

Policy – CAPTA-( Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act .) What was the policy response (was a new law passed? Were new services funded or developed?) How were social workers involved? Part 3: Evaluation and Conclusions (2 pages) ( IN BOLD) Currently, what policies (law/regulation) cover this area? Has our policy response been adequate to address social problems? Recommendations
