The Impact of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

What Does The Sarbanes-Oxley Act Do?

One direct effect of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act on corporate governance is the strengthening of public companies’ audit committees. The audit committee receives wide leverage in overseeing the top management’s accounting decisions. The audit committee, a subset of the board of directors consisting of non-management members, gained new responsibilities, such as approving numerous audit and non-audit services, selecting and overseeing external auditors, and handling complaints regarding the management’s accounting practices.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act changes management’s responsibility for financial reporting significantly. The act requires that top managers personally certify the accuracy of financial reports. If a top manager knowingly or willfully makes a false certification, he can face between 10 to 20 years in prison. If the company is forced to make a required accounting restatement due to management’s misconduct, top managers can be required to give up their bonuses or profits made from selling the company’s stock.

Specify at least one, and no more than three, critical service and/or operational capabilities the 2. company must excel in to succeed. E.g. product quality, speed of delivery, customer service, competitive pricing, service flexibility, availability or dependability, etc. Do not be generic and list everything, focus on the business’ core competencies. 3. How does the company attempt to excel at these capabilities against their competitors? How can it improve? 4. Chart the current Value Stream Map of a key process (such as production, the customer communications or customer service, or order management cycle), analyze the opportunities for improvement. Chart the future state (and the ideal state if possible) of the Value Stream Map. 5. Based on your research, how do the company’s operations strategy impact their marketing and business strategies, and provide competitive advantages or lead to disadvantages? 6. Which areas do you think the company should focus on operationally in order to scale or grow? Propose a growth strategy operationally for 2020. Research methods: Focus on the first-hand research and original critical analysis, supported by some secondary research based on published materials such as through SEC documents, online news archives, company websites, etc. The secondary/literature research should not exceed 20% of the paper and only sourced if it is essential to support the key points of your analysis. The first-hand research can be conducted via interacting with the business as a customer (signing up for email newsletters or promotions, requesting catalogs, calling customer service to gather product information, requesting customer materials from the company, making a purchase, returning the goods or submitting a complaint, conducting a usability test, etc.), interviewing key employees, or observing the process as an employee. Deliverable requirements: • The final analysis paper should be 8-10 pages including the exhibits and annotation. Single line spacing, normal or moderate margin setting. Font size: 10-12 points. Exhibits should be properly annotated, and clearly illustrate a key point in the paper. • Be analytical, not just descriptive. Be as objective as possible: we are all interested in how the company manages the customer experience – not if you liked or did not like your experience, not if the home page looks clean and pleasing, etc. • The project should NOT focus on customer acquisition, direct-response campaigns, marketing strategies, etc. It should focus on business processes and customer interactions or communications the company addresses to prospects and customers, such as fulfilling an order or delivering a satisfactory experience. Extraneous material not related to the topics of the class will count negatively in the grading of this project.

Programmatic Social Work Intervention

Research the category of loss that is defined. How normally is this loss experienced? Are there cultural, gender, societal or diversity influences? What is the professional caregiver role in this situation? What knowledge is needed to design appropriate, culturally sensitive interventions? What theories influence the intervention strategies? What modality of support would you choose for this intervention? Individual, family, group or community work? Give reasons for your choice. What supports would you look for in the life space of the grieving individual? This is a research/practice paper focused on the development of a program that might help many individuals deal with the particular category of loss. This is to be written using APA format. P53 Gene and future for cancer treatmeny

P53 Gene and future for cancer treatment

P53 Gene and future for cancer treatmeny

please use simple language, explain in details give a real examples about the topic there’s a book called P53 the gene that cracked cancer chapter 20 is a good source for this paper this is the fourth time I order this paper and she always says that normal people will not be able to read it or understanded i will attached the rubric and the research paper. like if you used scientific terms explain to the audience what is that? and how it will help with cancer treatment. I am reading over your draft, and, sorry to say, you have a lot of revising to do. The good news is that you have time to work on it. Start by thinking about your audience. Your audience is your fellow students, your classmates. Write your paper with them in mind. What would interest them about your topic? What do you need to explain? Next, while it is great that you have scholarly articles, you also need some more popular sources designed for the general public. These will help you write the background information into your paper. They will help you sketch out the subject in more interesting, laymen terms. I recommend that you watch and include some videos. Maybe there are some Ted Talks out there on P53. Read some sources that introduce genetic research and the role of the P53 gene to the general reader. You need to bring your reader up to speed and keep them interested. What would they be interested in hearing about P53? How would you respond to, “So what, why should I take the time to read this? How does it pertain to me or my interests?” As I have stated, this is not an informational report. You should not be writing a book on P53, explaining everything about it. I am looking for a research paper that examines a debatable topic. It also needs to have a clear thesis. Your paper has neither of these traits. You need a clear thesis. What one thing are you trying to say here? What are you trying to argue? It cannot be just telling the reader about P53. Think of a controversial issue related to its potential future use. Is there a specific form of cancer that could be your focus? For example, cancers caused by a virus. Are you arguing that it is the most viable option for cancer treatment? Are you arguing that it is the future direction for cancer treatment? If so, you need to say that outright and then develop points to convince the reader. Think of 2-4 points that you could make here. Or you could focus on the P53 gene and cancers caused by a virus. You need a better opening or lead paragraph, one that really grabs the reader’s attention and makes them want to continue reading. You could do that with an anecdote or story related to genetic research or a specific patient. Draw them into the subject. After your initial paragraph in which you grab the readers’ attention. Set the stage for your thesis statement. Then state it as well as how you are going to argue it in the paper. Follow this with a couple pages of background information on how cancer is typically treated. Then give background information on P53. Lay your ideas out in an outline and email it to me. Build your argument. I have attached some articles that I found. Look them over and read some more articles that are not scholarly research. Watch some videos. Connect the scholarly and nonscholarly sources into a paper for your peers that argues a specific point. As you revise your thesis, you may need additional scholarly sources that match it better.
