The unknown of online learning vs traditional learning and how it impacts students

Here is how the paper will be accepted or not.  I have also uploaded the template for the prospectus that will also help to see what is required.  The paper has to have all the parts for a prospectus for a dissertation. Has a meaningful gap in the research literature been identified?  Evidence needs to be presented that shows the problem is significant to the discipline and or professional field. (Mine is education technology).

The problem needs to be framed to enable the researcher to either build upon. Or counter the previously published findings on the topic.  Has to be original.  The problem must be authentic “puzzle” that needs to be solved not merely a topic that the researcher finds interesting.

Project needs to affect a positive social change.  Can a systematic method of inquiry be used to address the problem? Do the various aspects of the prospectus align overall?  Is the topic approached in an objective manner?  The framing of the problem should not reveal bias or present a foregone conclusion.

Determine which vulnerable groups are an impact of social issue

This is a paper that is focusing on the student to determine which vulnerable groups are an impact of social issue. The paper also provides additional information to use in writing this assignment paper well.

Determine which vulnerable groups are an impact of social issue

You will critically examine a social problem that impacts social workers and the clients they serve. In 3-5 pages, you will need to cover the following:

1) Identify the social issue or problem;

·       Describe what it is. Use statistics and sources to tell me about how widespread this problem is, how many people it impacts, and how. (1-2 paragraphs)

2) Determine which vulnerable groups are impacted by the social issue and briefly explain how they are impacted;

·       These are likely multiple groups, so mention each one and how they are impacted. (women, children, people of color, LGBT, immigrant, low-income individuals/families, people with disabilities, older adults, etc.) (1-2 pages)

o   For example, if you chose poverty as your issue, you’d want to mention that the groups MOST impacted in the U.S. are children, single mothers, and people of color. Then, talk about how poverty impacts each group specifically (access to equally funded educational opportunities, impacts on health, etc.)

3) Describe at least two previous and current attempts, strategies, and policies to address or solve the issue or problem;

·       What types of programs of policies exist to address this issue? Are there any that are propose in bills/legislation now that are trying to change the approach to address the problem? (1-2 pages)

4) Briefly explain why social workers should care about this issue (1-2 paragraphs)

3-5 pages, APA format with a cover page, in-text citations, and reference page. 3 sources required (may use more).

Remember, ensure  that the pages are exclusive of the cover and the reference pages. Also, ensure that you include all the references you use in finding research for this assignment paper. References should be at least three for the paper. All references, citation, and writing should follow the APA formatting and styling guidelines. Finally, ensure you focus on the assignment topic in detail.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God Summary

Jonathan Edwards delivered his sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” as a warning about what awaits those who succumb to sin and temptation.

In part one, Edwards quotes and analyzes Deuteronomy 32:35: “Their foot shall slide in due time.” He uses this image as a metaphor for people risking their lives by walking on the slippery slope of sin.

Additionally, in part two, Edwards argues that men live and die at the mercy of God and that God is the ultimate judge of each soul.

Finally, in part three, Edwards warns of the hellish consequences awaiting those who do not behave righteously.

Length: Five (5) Type Written Pages. Double-Spaced.

BUDGET DEFICITS, PUBLIC DEBTS AND BUDGET REFORM: A REALITY CHECK
Budgeting is a critical component of governance, whether it is on the federal, state, or local levels of government. Because of budget deficits and continued borrowing, governments have sought a complete overhaul of the budget process to make it more efficient, more manageable, and more disciplined. The deficit fundamentalists are right that the debt cannot be allowed to grow forever. And also the government cannot set budget policy without any limiting principles or guides as what is and what is not possible or desirable.

REQUIRED:
Firstly, why has budget deficits become the normal for federal, state, and local governments?
Secondly, how does the federal government finance its public debt? Explain your response.
Thirdly, How does the U.S. Virgin Islands government pay-off its public debt? Explain your response.
Fourthly, why have budget reforms failed in the past?
Finally, what are the benefits of budget reform if implemented successfully?

Each student is required to develop a 10-minute presentation summary of the fundamental topics

Population Ecology

Over twenty-five percent of all amphibians are in serious danger of going extinct. Why are some species more vulnerable to extinction than others?  The Earth’s human population has doubled in less than fifty years, and will reach seven billion in 2011. Further, what challenges do we face with this unprecedented growth? What factors might most effect the rates of this growth into the future?
Population ecology is the study of these and other questions about what factors affect population and how and why a population changes over time. Population ecology has its deepest historic roots, and its richest development, in the study of population growth, regulation, and dynamics, or demography. Human population growth serves as an important model for population ecologists, and is one of the most important environmental issues of the twenty-first century. But all populations, from disease organisms to wild-harvested fish stocks and forest trees to the species in a successional series to laboratory fruit files and paramecia, have been the subject of basic and applied population biology.

An organism’s life history is a record of major events relating to its growth, development, reproduction, and survival.

Life histories vary tremendously from one species to the next. Why all the variation?

The study of population ecology includes understanding, explaining, and also predicting species distributions. Why do species inhabit particular areas, and also how are they prevent ed from establishing beyond their range limits? Such range questions have become popular in the last decade or so in response to concerns about climate change.

Describe what happens in counseling

Initial discussion posts must be a minimum of 200 words with a minimum of one source used for support

Discussion Question #1:
Describe what happens in counseling. How does this differ from other relationships and conversations?

Discussion Question #2:
Discuss a time that you have gone to a professional for help of any kind (e.g. counselor, physician, nurse, lawyer, accountant). Explore these relationships.

More details;

What is Counselling?

Many people will, at some point in their lives, find themselves in the role of a counsellor without having a true understanding of the concept of counselling or what the role of the professional counsellor entails.

There is a big difference between a professional counsellor and a person who uses some counselling skills as part of their role, for example as a friend or colleague. A professional counsellor is a highly-trained individual who is able to use a different range of counselling approaches with their clients.

Counselling is:

  • The process that occurs when a client and counsellor set aside time to explore difficulties which may include the stressful or emotional feelings of the client.
  • The act of helping the client to see things more clearly, possibly from a different view-point. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experiences or behaviour, with a goal of facilitating positive change.
  • A relationship of trust. Confidentiality is paramount to successful counselling. Professional counsellors will usually explain their policy on confidentiality. They may, however, be required by law to disclose information if they believe that there is a risk to life.
Counselling is not:

Firstly, giving advice.

Secondly, being judgemental.

Thirdly, attempting to sort out the problems of the client.

Fourthly, expecting or encouraging a client to behave as the counsellor would behave if confronted with a similar problem in their own life.

Also, getting emotionally involved with the client.

Finally, looking at a client’s problems from your own perspective, based on your own value system.
