Organic versus non organic food

For this assignment, you will draft a formal, academic essay in MLA format that details an argument about your selected topic. You will use the outline from the previous assignment as a guide, but you can make modifications to your thesis and argument as necessary. Here are the basic requirements for your essay: (1) Your essay must be 4-5 pages in MLA format with an additional Works Cited page. (2) You must use at least 4 sources in this essay, two of which MUST be academic journal articles. The other two may be journal articles or other credible, academic sources. (3) Your essay must be organized with a formal structure, developed with concrete evidence and analysis, documented in appropriate, ethical MLA style, and written with a formal, clear style. Please use the following guidelines to help develop a successful essay: (1) Your essay should begin with an introduction that introduces the topic and ends with a strong thesis. Your thesis should state your argument and its major reasons in a clear, concise manner. Think of it as a mini-map of your paper for a reader. (2) Then, you should include a background paragraph that offers your reader more information about the topic and its current debate (or relevant history). Make sure your reader is clear about the exigence of the argument; in other words, why does this argument matter NOW? (3) After, you should include two to four paragraphs that identify your two to four major reasons. Each paragraph should have a clear topic sentence that links back to the thesis, and you should support each body paragraph with sufficient, credible evidence and analysis. (4) Before you conclude, please add a Refutation of Opposing Arguments, where you will present the opposing side or potential obstacles and offer a refutation in order to convince your reader and eliminate bias. (5) Finally, compose a conclusion paragraph that ties all of your paper’s points together and argues an overall significance. (6) Each body paragraph should include concrete evidence from research. You should integrate your research smoothly and ethically. Use identifying tags to introduce your sources and show your reader an outside idea. Always analyze the significance of the research before you move on to the next point! Example: In Jason Ree’s article, he notes that, “QUOTE” (32). This reveals that… (7) Your tone and style needs to be academic and polished. This helps add credibility to your voice. Reading aloud will help the most with this! Avoid first and second person in this style of writing. Assignment Requirements Your paper should reach a minimum of four pages, 1000 – 1200 words, not including the Works Cited page.

Paper details:

Complete the template provided in the Word document on each extreme sport. This includes general information and then specifically participation rates, injury/fatality data. Note that many sports on the excel file are more granular breakdowns of levels of difficulty and thus don’t require a whole new write-up (ie climbing has many levels of difficulty but there are no distinct data points for those levels) Happy to discuss. But looking for more cryptic and bullet information

Family Science

Family Science

A one page response for each of the questions (double spaced, 12 font) (1) You have learned about several family theories in previous family science courses. Use/apply one or more of those theories (e.g., ecological systems, family systems, family development, life course, feminist, ABC-X model, etc.) to help explain a situation that you have observed in your internship. Briefly describe the situation and then discuss how this theory/these theories help us understand what you observed. Lastly, please answer the following questions: (a) Have you taken FSW 475 “Family theories” prior to this semester? No. (b) Are you currently taking FSW 475 “Family Theories”? No. (2) As you have learned in previous FSW courses, contextual/external factors (e.g., the economy; neighborhood resources; local, state, and federal social/family policies; implicit and systemic racism and sexism) have an influence on individuals, families, and communities. In a reflection paper style, identify at least two contextual factors that have had and are having an impact on the children/families that you are serving through your internship. Please provide specific examples and describe how those factors are having an impact. [* I’ve took FSW 245, 261, 418, 466, 206, 490, you can search online about these classes on Miami University Oxford website if you need any class information.] (3) For this question, you are to reflect upon the services that have been provided to the children/families through your internship — services provided by you and by the agency/organization as a whole. Critically analyze those services by considering the following questions: What are the strengths of those services, and what services are in need of improvement and why? Also consider and discuss: “What else would help?” Suggest other strategies for strengthening the families that you have served. What could citizens, private organizations, and public government programs do to help?

Is it worth buying a house rather than renting one in the State of CA?

What I want to talk about and the following question: Is it worth buying a house rather than renting one in the State of CA? Signature Assignment Statistical Analysis Paper This paper teaches the student to tell a story with statistics. The student will also describe his or her journey discovering public business data sources, and learning about PUMS (Public Use Microdata Sample, the “real world” survey data collected by the US Census Bureau). The paper will have five sections; the signature assignment preparation activities address the first four. The sections are as follows. 1. Explore business data sources (from week 1) a. A paragraph summarizing the student’s initial interest, problem, or question that led him/her to choose certain data sources to explore. The paragraph should answer these questions: Why did the student choose to explore these sites? What did he/she hope to find? It should also list the sources explored and the student’s overall impression of the data available. b. Two short paragraphs (one for each data set) describing the specific data sets the student is interested in and why (briefly describe a potential future study based on each dataset) 2. Describe the PUMS data with a paragraph (from week 2) a. Where it comes from b. What kinds of data it holds c. Several examples of what it may be used for d. Which state the student chose and why 3. Tell about the development of the student’s interest into a final question or problem (from weeks 3- 5). A type of problem in the private sector would be identifying a promising target market for a product or service. A type of problem in the public sector would be finding justification for a specific social program, either new or expanded. Students should be specific: identify just one specific service or product, or consider just a single social issue in a specific region. Two paragraphs are required: a. the first tells about how the student’s initial interest, problem, or question evolvedas he/she discovered data sources and learned about the PUMS data. b. The second tells about the eventual question or problem the student hopes to answer with PUMS data. The second paragraph should explain the significance of the answer, who it will help, and how it will help. 4. Show data analysis (from weeks 4 & 5). One or two paragraphs and several tables and graphs tell about the student’s analysis of the data. (Note that in working toward meaningful analysis, students will go through a process of trying many analyses and finding most of them incomplete or inconclusive. Learning from these attempts, students eventually refine their analysis until it becomes useful and addresses their question appropriately. These final analyses are presented in the paper.) a. One or two narrative paragraphs that reference the tables and graphs and tell the reader about them and what they mean. b. The tables and graphs that form the analysis the student found meaningful toward answering the question posed in section 3. This section 4 will include at least one table and/or graph for each type of analysis method required. Students are encouraged to use color in their graphs and remember to label all tables and graphs properly per APA guidelines (see Tables and Figures in the APA Guidelines). The analyses required are as follows: i. Distribution table that applies meaningful filters and shows pertinent fields; built with an Excel pivot table ii. Pie graph showing the relative frequency of one variable (may or may not be based on a pivot table) Date syllabus last revised: 6/10/19 7 iii. Frequency distribution table created from interval or ratio data that is grouped into classes; built with an Excel pivot table iv. Bar graph based on the above frequency distribution table (related to pivottable) v. Frequency distribution table of two or more levels (two or more fields in the Rows section); built with an Excel pivot table vi. Bar graph based on the above frequency distribution table (related to pivottable) vii. Scatter plot graph with two variables and the corresponding linear equation viii. Table of quartiles or deciles based on a field 5. State conclusions. Three paragraphs contain the student’s conclusions. a. The first two paragraphs should summarize what the data and statistics say in relevance to the question. b. The third paragraph should address these two questions: i. What additional analysis might be pursued with PUMS data that might prove helpful? (include why and how it might be helpful) ii. If it were possible to find other data to further support and/or refine your recommendation(s), what would such data be, and what would you hope to further discover? The final paper must be in APA format (without abstract). References will include PUMS and possibly other data sites and accompanying documentation, including the textbook. Students may include other references as needed. See the rubric at the end of this syllabus for grade breakdown by section and further

Transplant tourism

Consider this response ,”I agree with Dr. Oconnor. While some countries are beginning to implement better regulations for this growing industry, most have not done so adequately. The practical result is the rich can literally live off of the poor through exploitation of their vita organs. Firmly stating that it is unethical to exploit the poor for body parts will not inhibit medical progress. Exploitation and a lack of regulation are precisely the reason this is an issue in the first place”.Consider why this response or statement is the most ethical.upport your conclusions with evidence and specific examples from the textbook, as well as other sources as needed. Your reflection must be at least 250 words in length and follow APA (6th ed.) formatting and citation guidelines as appropriate. This should not just be writing down your first reaction or what you already know. Reflection involves critical thinking, which means rethinking your existing knowledge and previously held opinions in light of what we have learned about theories of ethics, logic, and reasoning. You will need to question your existing knowledge and beliefs. Why do you feel the way you do about organ donation and transplantation?
