Health Interventions and Outcomes Presentation

Description

The purpose of this assignment is to impact health outcomes through population-level health assessment and intervention. This assignment will allow for a discovery into a selected practice problem, encompassing social determinant risk factors, an evidence-based population health intervention, and relevant measurable goals and objectives. Formulation of an Infographic Kaltura video presentation supports professional formation, communication, and dissemination skills relevant to the DNP practice scholar. This assignment has three components: first, identify a practice problem and related population health intervention as directed in the Week 5 Discussion launch question; second, design an Infographic incorporating Week 5 Discussion content; and, third, create a professional Kaltura video presentation to disseminate this information. Course Outcomes This assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes: CO1: Formulate strategies for providing culturally-relevant and high-quality healthcare for vulnerable and highrisk populations. (PO 1) CO3: Assimilate epidemiology principles and interventions to impact population healthcare outcomes. (PO 1) CO5: Evaluate the impact of the global burden of diseases on population health. (PO 1) Preparing the Assignment Follow these guidelines when completing each component of the assignment. Contact your course faculty if you have questions. Select a practice problem and related population health intervention as directed in the Week 5 Discussion launch post. Infographic: Design an Infographic using Canva (Links to an external site.)by following the video instructions below. Address the following. Details Use the required Canva Infographic resource provided in the above instructions. Include below required components:

The causal agents of disease in plants humans and other animals

It is well documented that some bacteria and some viruses are the causal agents of disease in plants, humans and other animals. These pathogens are not only distinct from each other but have great diversity even within their own domains.

Briefly ( no more than a few sentences) describe the major differences between bacteria and viruses, this will include information on their basic structure and genetic material. Choose an example of a bacteria and an example of a virus that can cause illness in humans and compare the contribution each type of organism makes to the disease process. e.g. How they infect and enter the host, what happens to infected cells or tissues, what causes the pathology and how they spread to another host.

Again, this can be fairly brief, it is more important that you understand the general processes involved rather than knowing the fine details. Consider the most prevalent infectious diseases around today. Are they caused by viruses or bacteria? ( this may alter depending on your geographic location) Which one of these types of pathogen ( if either) do you consider to be the more effective in its mechanism of spread and survival and do you consider viruses or bacteria to be a greater threat to the health of modern man? Be sure to properly cite any outside sources you use.

What should a counselor know when doing the referral? This discussion question meets the following NASAC Standards: 4) Recognize the potential for substance use disorders to mimic a variety of medical and psychological disorders, and the potential for medical and psychological disorders to co-exist with addiction and substance abuse. 10) Describe a variety of helping strategies for reducing the negative effects of substance abuse and dependency. 14) Be familiar with medical and pharmaceutical resources in the treatment of addictive disease and other substance-related disorders. In this written assignment, you will examine the impact of technology on global health.

Step 1 Using your textbook, and a minimum of two additional scholarly sources, write a two to three page (minimum) paper that addresses the following topics:

Research ways in which technology can be used to address global health challenges. Describe at least two specific examples of global health technology initiatives. How can technology be used to improve the quality of care in less developed countries? What is nursing’s role in supporting global health? APA, 6th edition. Please use only scholarly sources, no older than 5 years in age.

Which risk factors of autism can be related to prenatal care

Find two appropriate non-scholarly sources using a search engine such as Google or Bing. Create APA references for the non-scholarly sources. Write annotations for the two non-scholarly sources. Develop a thesis statement based on your research question. The non-scholarly source may be any of these types of sources: A newspaper or magazine article (not an editorial). An article from a professional organization website or trade journal (e.g., science, medical, etc.). An article or report from a .gov website. A blog post written by an expert on the topic. The non-scholarly source may not be A book or book chapter. A scholarly article. A reference source (e.g., encyclopedia, almanac, dictionary). Now, you will write annotation for the two sources. The annotations must be in your own words, two paragraphs long, and address the points below. Provide brief descriptions, explanations or examples to support your answers. Paragraph 1: What kind of source is this? What is the thesis or main claim of the source? What evidence or claims does the source present in support of the thesis? Present at least two examples of support the source uses. What other important claims does the source make? Paragraph 2: Evaluate How adequately does the source support its thesis? How current is the information in the source relative to your research question? How credible and authoritative is the source for your research question? What limitations, if any, did you note in the source? How does the source help answer your research question?
