How are parliamentary and presidential governments similar and different?
presidential system is a democratic and republican government in which a head of government leads an executive branch that is separate from the legislative branch. A presidential system contrasts with a parliamentary system, where the head of government is elect ed to power through the legislative.
Parliamentary system and presidential system are two most popular forms of government; Parliamentary system is also known as Prime minister system of government.

The major difference between them is the separation of powers between the Executive and the Legislature.

In Parliamentary system the the Executive is drawn from the legislative and are responsible to them in terms of policies and act. Here the cabinet is the center of power and the Prime Minister is describe as Primus inter pares(First among equals. Furthermore, he heads the government. In a Presidential form of government, the Head of the State is directly appoint ed by the citizens of that particular State. Therefore, he is independent and is not responsible to the legislature. each system has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.

United Kingdom, and India are Examples of Parliamentary system.
USA is an example of a country that has Presidential system .
