NHS Constitution (2015)
NHS Values (DoH, 2015)
The 6Cs (DoH, 2012)
Ethics (beneficence, non-maleficence, justice and autonomy (Beauchamp and Childress, 2013)) to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the professional nature of nursing
Legal aspects of your chosen scenario e.g. consent, mental capacity
Policy, standards and guidelines that inform practice e.g. NICE, DoH, NMC, RCN, WHO, local policies
Examples of the situations where professionalism, 6Cs, NHS values and ethical considerations may be witnessed could include (but are not restricted to):
Medication delivery involving effective communication, care, commitment and courage
Effective moving and handling during a bed bath
Competent and compassionate end of life care
Competent wound dressing changes with effective communication, care and compassion
Caring for patients with dementia

Discuss the evidence which underpinned the care in this situation including policies, procedures, guidelines and research
