Nursing Theory, Research, and Practice
Students will write a 3-4 page research paper (not including title and reference page) based on a Nursing Theorist. References should be cited in APA format.  Subheadings for the paper should include:

·         Statement:  Firstly, briefly describe your personal nursing theory
·         Nursing Theorist:  Secondly, identify the nursing theorist you have chosen for your paper that aligns best with your personal nursing theory.  Explain why you chose this nursing theorist as your model.
·         Paper:  Thirdly, identify and explain: (1) the PROS (identify 2) of the nursing theory chosen and (2) the CONS (identify 2) of the nursing theory chosen.
·         Journal article:  Fourthly, based on the nursing theory chosen and the PROs and CONs of the theory as it relates to your personal nursing theory, identify and include (1) nursing journal article that relates to your paper. Article must be written within the last 5 years and be from a nursing journal.
