This task requires you to demonstrate the extent to which you have developed the following qualities:

• Critical Thinking and Problem Solving • Communication (oral and written) • Information and digital literacy • Cultural competence • An integrated professional, ethical and personal identity For this assignment, you will familiarise yourself with a code of ethics/conduct for a particular workplace (suggestions listed below), and write up your thoughts on its implications for a prospective employee. Your response can take a number of different formats, depending on which workplace you choose and what you find the most interesting. For example, you may wish to respond with:

A personal reflection of which of these ethics codes was the most surprising to you, and why; how might you achieve this particular quality in the specified workplace?

A discussion about an imagined tricky scenario in the specified workplace and how the ethics code might guide you to behave. A critique of the ethics code: while acknowledging the strengths of the code, discuss aspects of the ethics document that you disagree with, or would change to suit the workplace better? Why, and how should they be adjusted?

A comparison of two ethics codes. Also, explaining how and why you think they differ as appropriate to their respective workplaces. If you choose an approach with two parts, you must address both parts in your submission.

We ask that you notify your tutor and the coordinator of the approach you wish to choose. It is largely up to you how you choose to frame your response, as long as it meets the 700-word count requirement. You may choose your code of conduct/ethics from the list below (Have to be AUSTRALIA Code of Ethics):

• Australian Association of Social Workers. Aged Care • Engineers • Australian Community Workers Association. International Council on Monuments and Sites Alternatively. You may also choose another workplace code that relates more directly to your chosen profession/interests. You will be marked according to the following criteria:

1. Firstly, how carefully you read and understand a workplace ethics code, with an awareness of its practical significance in a real-life workplace

2. Secondly, how concisely you identify, articulate and respond to matters of ethics in your chosen context, and provide an insightful reflection upon these issues

3. Thirdly, how well you demonstrate an awareness of perspective and context in your imagined role in any given workplace

4. Fourthly, how articulately you discuss role-specific/professional ethical responsibilities in your chosen scenario.

5. Lastly, how clearly and coherently you express you‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍rself in professional writing
