ARS 101: Art-Prehistory thru Middle Age

Choose two works of art from each of our three units. Think of a “theme” that ties them together. This should be something more in depth than, “they are all marble sculptures.” Devise an imaginary museum exhibit around them. Write up a one page (single-spaced) introduction to the exhibit. This should be something that would be in an exhibition catalog, not just your description of the exhibit. Present the theme you have chosen. Also write up a label to accompany each work of art, giving any information that would be appropriate for the exhibition as well as the image itself. Focus on how the work fits in with the theme of the exhibit rather than size/medium etc.
